Developmental Screening Implementing Pages
Mentorship
The Developmental Surveillance and Screening Policy Implementation Project (D-PIP) Mentorship Network offers guidance, resources, and networking opportunities to assist with the implementation of developmental surveillance and screening into your practice. The success of the program relies heavily on the continued efforts of the D-PIP practice teams to share their strategies, lessons learned, tools, and resources designed to improve the screening process.
How to Use the Mentorship Network
The Medical Home Surveillance and Screening Program at the America Academy of Pediatrics can facilitate information sharing among those who are involved in the D-PIP project. Examples include:
- Connect practices teams with D-PIP practices with similar challenges and/or practice types (urban, suburban, private) to share solutions and accomplishments related to implementing the American Academy of Pediatrics developmental surveillance and screening algorithm.
- Assist practices in identifying best practices and provide guidance in the implementation of developmental surveillance and screening

The D-PIP is funded by a cooperative agreement between the AAP and the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and a cooperative agreement between the AAP and the Maternal and Child Health Bureau.
